SCRAPPED - 1965 Wagoneer, 1st-gen AMC 327
Interior incomplete - needs headliner and some other pieces. Driver's floor is rusty, but body has held up surprisingly well. Damage to passenger rear corner, but isolated to the tail light area. Couple glass pieces missing, but I have a source for them and just never got around to it. The guy still has the parts, though. Tailgate glass present, but there's something wrong with the crank. Already located a source for the parts - same guy that has the glass.
I got this vehicle out of Indiana. It was suspected that the only issue keeping it from starting was the starter itself. This starter is not something you can just go buy new and is apparently one of the rare 1st-gen AMC configurations. It cost about $250 for Mazza's (Waterford) old-school guy to completely remanufacture it, but I haven't put it back in to give it a shot yet. All the original engine accessories are intact, including the Motorola electronics and the washer bottle. I have been told that the carb is from a 327 and from the correct era, but it is not correct for this vehicle and that it appears to be a Rambler model that someone may have swapped on for fuel economy.
$750 as is. No title, but the laws have changed and the SOS will issue a new one with a bill of sale on vehicles of sufficient age and under a certain price (its way under both requirements).
I also have a 327-powered Gladiator with a destroyed body that is loaded with engine options/accessories such as power steering, power brakes, as well as being backed by a TH400/D20 with D44 axles front and rear. If keeping the Wagoneer original-ish was not going to be practical, I was going to install these parts. It is available for more $.
I'm not going to part it out, so please don't bother asking.
BOTH VEHICLES SCRAPPED.
- AMC 327. Factory forged crank/rods.
- 3-speed on the column.
- Dana 20
- D27 front, D53 rear. 5x5.5" Unknown gearing, but probably fairly low.
- Warn lockouts.
- Miles unknown - don't know if the odometer is accurate or functional.
- Original rhino nose.
- Manual brakes.
- Manual steering.
- BFG AT's with pretty good tread (suitable enough for winter driving)
