Selling the "hot rod" fridge, I just don't have any room for it in the garage. 1950 Coldspot vintage refridgerator with new door weatherstrip, light switch/bulb, power cord, and castor wheels for easy moving. Beautiful custom painted silver flames over metallic blue base, with red pinstripe around edges of flames. All professionally done in PPG water based colors, wet sanded/wheeled out to smooth finish with no paint lines. Perfect for the garage or man cave, works great! Asking $600 obo, much more invested. Possible trades?

Is that the one you got from my folks? If so that thing rocks. GLWS!

Yup, this thing gets COLD!

Here's a picture from it's humble beginning just after I picked it up. Yes, it's now the same color as my car. :icon_wink

Cool. In case anyone wants history of this, it sat in my parents dry basement for at least 35 years after coming from the original household (my great uncles/aunts.) We used it to keep beer cold, and the funny thing is no one really drank it once I moved out.

Anyway, it kept shit super cold and then Joe did his refurb bit on it, now it looks badass. Only thing that was really wrong with it was the door seal and it appears he has that worked out, so again, GLWS!

Here's a 1950 General Electric I painted for the garage... goes from a root beer to a candy apple red flop... with cream pearl and orange pin stripe! Guys walk in and and are like Holy shit your crazy... lol

Dang that is nice, the scallops are classic!!

Here is a 1948 Leornard fridge by Kelvinator that we did for my dad. Same flame style, but classic hot rod fade in the flame colors. I really liked this one!

Do you do any work to the compressor/cooling system? I've always liked the reworked older fridges

No, just replaced old wiring where needed. The old refridgerators that people update with modern high efficiency components are pretty cool though(no pun intended)...

Thanks! I love 49's and 50's styling... everything was a piece of art no matter if it was a car or a fridge... lol....I like the classic flames! Not a Harley guy, but loved how this one turned out for my cousin... kegerator...unfortunately he had to sell it... hard times...listed on CL and Hardcore Pawn called him and bought it.
