1800hp Camaro.....

Really guys? More than a few stock vehicles crest 200mph now, should they all come with a cage, chute, 6 point belts, window net, driveshaft loop, trans shield?? At least this was at a closed track..

Stock brakes and ABS are probably the safest thing on the planet. It's the guy that removes ABS and installs 1/4" thick discs that weigh 3lbs who is more likely to have a failure or lockup at speed. Throw in skinny friggin tires and of course its easy to lock up tiny tires...This is probably the case here. he removed ABS and stomped the brakes at 200... trial and error, he'll do it again...money pending.

The cars GM runs at the Nurbergring are stock except for a bunch of safety equipment including full cage and race seats with full harnesses. I wonder how modified that car was? If he had a stock suspension on it, I wouldn't think it would have done that. Anyone have a link to the build?

I'd feel safer in a roll over with a car with any cage, then sitting in a cobalt that can catch fire.....

I would rather stop drop and roll vs smashing my head on a chromoly tube. Yes my car has a cage and that is a real concern.

GM setting records in germany is a step up from nacho whoever going fast at an airport. I hope his passenger is ok.
