16k Mile EcoBoost Engine Disassembled at Livernois

We purchased a good, running 16k mile take-out engine from a 2010 Taurus SHO for engine development. This will lead to some exciting things...

We have a few SHO guys now with minimal mods running low 12's with one close to the 11's..

I was going to document the entire tear-down, unfortunately the guys in engine build got excited to see what was inside..

I got excited when I saw Eco-boost. Thought there might have been a truck tune ready

Time to uncork it!! Set driveability aside please!! Haha I hope you guys make a drag track test track mule and push that thing hard.

gutted fox body!!

geez, crazy looking intake and odd/restrictive exhaust. Should make killer #s with a tubular manifold and open plenum style manifold if packaging allows.
pics of combustion chambers?

12 second taurus hmmmm

i wonder what you guys could do to a caddy

loved the burger run in the 6 second mustang
