Sold it to get married in 1997. The guy raced it for a few years and offered it back but I couldn't buy so another guy did. He kept it for a while but unexpectedly passed away and a mutual friend got it back and was nice enough to sell it back to me!!

Nice story (except the owners passing of course) congrats

Sounds similar to the story of our Camaro that is sleeping in my fathers garage.

i have a story just like this about my tow rig but it was only gone for 2 and a half years but changed owners 3 times was a little hunting work but i finally got it back to have it blow head gasket and me throw it in the barn at our cottage lol!!! good luck with the car bro

I sold my first Mustang to this young kid (I was 18 myself and the time). Didn't regret it cause I had nothing but problems with it, that's whi I sold it. I was 17 when I got it and right after I repaired it the trans went out and the problems just ketp piling on.

Anyways, I sell the thing and a few weeks later my Grandma calls me and says that her neighbor bought the car!!!! It was sitting in the driveway next door. A few weeks later it was up for sale for 3,500 more than I sold it for, but then he ended up wrecking it before he could sell it.

That's awesome! How much has the car changed since you sold it? When I bought my Camaro about 6 years ago, my neighbor came down and started talking about the 72 Camaro he had for a short time that looked just like it. After some closer looking, he swore that was his old car. I didn't really think much of it, but he swore up and down it was, so he started talking about how he put a finger print in the paint when he painted it, up near the headlight above the front bumper, so we went up and looked and sure enough there it was! Then we crawled under it and he pointed out a few other things that were his own doing. He had sold the car 10 years ago, it went to New Mexico, then to Michigan, then back onto the very same street in Ohio that it was 10 years prior. Pretty weird!!

That's a cool story! The majority of the car is the same. The heads and intake have been changed but the majority is what was there when I built it in 95-96
