I had the son of an investment client of mine drag his mother into my office and he had the nerve to say to me, "WILL YOU PLEASE TELL MY MOTHER TO STOP SPENDING MY INHERITANCE?!?!?!" I immediately turned to my client and said to her, "Mrs. ___________, if you like, I'll be happy to change the beneficiaries on all of your accounts right now. I can remove your greedy son from all of your accounts in just a few moments." The mother laughed and began to tell her son that her and he late husband (his father) earned the money and that he should be grateful for ANYTHING he gets because she owes him nothing and he didn't earn a penny of it. After mom gave him a verbal beating he turned to me and tried getting in loud with me. It didn't take much to cut him right back down and his mom started back on him. Feisty gal. :lol: Less than a week later Mrs. ____________, brought me an additional $22x,xxx.xx she had sitting with another brokerage house. Apparently at an earlier date her son had done this with her before (at the other brokerage house) and they sided with him vs her.
