I want to run a CAT5 from my house to the barn. I have PVC conduit in the ground. Is this the right cable? If so, I'll take a box.

What's the distance from the feed to the termination. max length without a repeater is about 330 feet.

Im looking at device to device communications using gigabit speeds. If makes faster daily backups to a network drive and also would help with passing media from one device to another. Wouldn't speed up any kind of internet access speeds though.

The price difference between 5 and 6 is negligable. There's no reason not to run 6.

There's no reason to spend the extra money on 6, compared to cat5e - you can run gigabit over either one. Especially if you can get 5 for $25 a box!
