the last car was totaled so i figured I would share with you guys what we are doing to the car to make it run mid 10's i just started on the car Monday and I will keep you guys updated through out the build..

stock motor is out.

new motor= stock cast crank, .020 over bore 10.1:1 diamond pistons, eagle h beams, stock heads, cams, shorty headers, and chrome valve covers:angel:...

stock trans, and converter, single piece drive shaft, and stock 3.31:1 gear..

whippe 2.3L blower 7.5" crank pulley, 3.0" blower pulley (8-ribb) should make around 18-20psi i hope...

I moved the battery to the trunk to make room for the methanol reservoir...
(note the twin F.P.D.M'S) installed for the twin shellby fuel pumps..

Why did you stick with the stock crank? It seems if you were going through the trouble of new pistons and rods, why not upgrade the crank to a forged unit? :dontknow:
