In my wifes 05 gran prix the abs and traction control light came on. I changed the brakes, then the lights went off for about 2 days, now they are back on. Anyone have any ideas? or own/work at a place that can hook me up for cheap. Grantmole is making sure things are tight right now. Thanks guys.

try hitting the abs sensor up w/ brake clean, if you are using a semi-metallic pad, or a metallic pad they are known to dust and damage the sensor

Will try that, but i thought i cleaned everything pretty good. I hate all this sensor BS. Would that cause the traction light too?

If you get the ABS system scanned, it will lead you to the wheel thats acting up. Test the hubs for play, even minor movement will trigger these lights.as mentioned earlier- clean the metal off the speed sensor faces(sensor is a magnet). If it passes both these tests then it maybe the speed sensor harness rubbing on the control arm.

Will I have to take it to a shop to get the ABS system scanned, or is there a way to pull the codes yourself?

Needs a scan tool to view the actual data, can also test drive to trigger the light.I'm located in Windsor in needed

any growling or graoning noises at speed ? sounds like corrosion in the hub assembly. GM has had alot of issues with this the past few years.
