.05 gals of fuel.............

That's what I used to and from work yesterday. 75 mph, AC on and radio blasting. Yes, I'm a :nerd: and I drive a plug in CMAX as a daily! :)

Sounds like my next demo....I'm only 13 miles from work, and we DO have a charging station...

The future is upon us, fellas...

There's definitely a group of people that will buy electric and hybrid cars for convenience rather than purported environmental reasons. I've been driving a hybrid as a DD for a while and it's a pure matter of convenience not having to stop at the gas station all the time. Then when it's time to burn lots of gasoline, you get to do it for fun not necessity.

Very well put. My work is not very far from home but 13mpg in my cars is not fun. By the end of the week, I have no gas to have fun.. :-/

It's funny how our views change as we get older. I too have thought about doing something similar. I was considering leasing a Volt as they have charging stations at work and I could charge it at home and never fill my tank with a 16mi commute. Just can't bring myself to want to deal with a car payment since I haven't had one in like 8yrs.

But you can't wash the gay away.
And you should know. That's why you sold me your power washer, it just wouldn't wash it away  Remember the days of you driving my F-150, well they are over. The C-max is now the only car I loan out to customers. ;)
Do you have .05 gallons of dignity left? Do you say "it's easier to get my golf clubs in and out of" as an excuse like all the old guys that drive minivans do?
I haven't started driving a Ram yet, so I'm just fine on dignity. :)
I heard there was another gay with a C-max so I had to join the party... here is my latest tank. Just filled up today for the first time in over 4 weeks.

Charge at home, 26 miles to work, 26 miles home. Once the Fakkkktards at Ford install charging stations around work I'll get gas about once every 3-4 months.

**post 5700...
Tall gay, get it straight......errrr wait..........
So these things only get like 20 miles per charge?
Yes, but it also runs as an electric/gas hybrid. So it charges the battery while using the gas engine, so it will switch back and forth from gas to electric depending on battery charge.
So your boyfriend drives the F-150 now?
Don't have one, but if I did, you'd be top of my list :hay:

Do it!

I'm the first group.
Goodluck when it comes time to replace batteries or parts...
Leased
I think Trunk might have a line on replacement parts if needed.
Warranty
So how long does it take to charge the battery at home? What's the cost?
Barely anything, I can set the car to charge on off peak hours plus I can contact DTE and they will give me a price break. I haven't done it yet, but I will be once I install a new 110 outlet that's more convenient to where I park in my driveway.
That's why you lease it.
Yep!

My views really haven't changed. I still have the carbon foot print of a the Jolly Green Giant, but the lease deal was killer, I will write it off, and it's a nice perk my customers get that don't have a second car if they are in for service. It's a win win for me. Plus when customers aren't using it, daily driving will save me a lot in fuel expenses. Money I can use on beer, whores, blow and well more whores :)

I love the C-Max. I drive just about everything Ford makes on a weekly basis and the Flex and C-Max are faves. If they made a hybrid Flex I'd be buying a new vehicle.

My wife worked 5 blocks from home for years. I tried to get her into a Hybrid. No sale. Every car she ever bought had the most powerful engine available. (One of the reasons I love her!) Now she works from home and I STILL can't get her to consider a hybrid! Her drive cycle is exactly what they were built for.

Maybe you should turn in your trucks and start driving hybrids home from work!!!! lol
