Do you guys think I can find a master cylinder to fit in my 04 cobra / 89 notch since the motor is in? I dont want to pull the motor to do the brakes. Will a Strange Manual brake setup work? I have heard someone say a ranger brake booster will fit but dont know anymore details. I have the car running it just needs gauges, exhaust, and Brakes. Here's a pic let me know what you guys think. REP TO ANYONE WHO ANSWERS!

Can you get the 04 cobra hydraboost system to bolt to the firewall ? if so it might be a good way to go. it is small enough to clear the valvecovers on a sn95 but they changed the strut towers and the firewall a bit on the sn95 stuff.

Just a thought.

It wont clear. I tried and the hydraboost was to big. I would have to pull the motor. Do you think a strange manual brake kit will fit in a tight spot?

Yes that will fit, ive seen the hydroboost fit why is yours different? it's a bolt onyou need to drill one hole.

What hole? Im doing a 4v swap and all I have read is, you need to change the end of the rod where the pedal bolts in. Some times, you dont even have to do that.

Im not saying it wont fit. I just dont want to have to pull the motor or anything. Theres no room for the hydraboost to just drop in. Im so close I can just feel the horses already :)

I think it will fit If we drill some holes. Now I need to find another Hydroboost setup. If you know someone who has one shoot me a pm. Im gonna post in the parts wanted section. I seen the hydroboost master cylinder on ebay but Im impatient.

Someone on here was selling the whole system. Rack, booster, master, pump etc. There is also a line kit that makes it easier to fit everything with out it looking cluttered.

Dont you have to run the hydraboost?? I would honestly rather put the correct braking system in (even if it means pulling the motor) and do it all right the first time.

If you could send a link to the Line kit it would be appreciated. I have a ads in the parts wanted section but if you remember who has the setup let me know so I can snag it.:buds::rockwoot:

I will if I have to but Im going to try and not pull it. I seen the same conversion in Hot Rod Magazine and they didnt have to pull the motor and it fit nicely.

:jawdrop2: congrats on the progress
Thanks Bro. I have been patient for 3 years now it's time to kick ass!

the stud on the bottom right of the hydroboost is about a 1/2 lower than than the foxbody hole. are you running the power steering? btw, the engine looks like it's not sitting in the cradle properly. lol

It sits right. Just a little high in the front and the reservoir is pulled up so I could fix a hole in the Radiator .Thanks for the info :)

I found it while searching through the conversion section on Modularfords.com. I cant remember what thread it was, or how many pages back it was in the results page.
