03 mustang clutch question

is there any way of finding out what spline the input shaft is before pulling the clutch out? my buddy needs his replaced and it would make it easier to have the new clutch before we pull the old one out.....

well i have heard they come with either a 10 or 26 spline, how do you know for sure its a 10?

If it's stock, they're all 10-spline. Even the terminators.

i never heard of a 26 spline input shaft on a mustang :dontknow: maybe the rear axle but those are 28's i think.

X2...fords are all pretty standard. I would think twice before buying a clutch from some one that does not know the input spline, clutch diameter, proper pilot bearing and throw out bearing. Any basic clutch catalog list that information.

ok thanks guys, im not familier with the clutches for an 03 mustang, but i called a local speed shop for a motorsport clutch and they said they come in both a 10 and 26 spline, thanks for the help everyone!
