03 Cobra Convertible - stock - looking for some advice for modest upgrades

Hello.

I have a stock 2003 Cobra convertible.
I am looking for some advice regarding some modest upgrades to be able to make more tire smoke when I do a burnout.
In 1st gear the rev limiter at ~6,200 rpm is really annoying, but I realize it is necessary.
I am on a limited budget.
I installed a K&N cold air intake. It did not have the correct design for the MAF and I had to leave the MAF screen off the car.
The results were that the car would stall every now and then "hunting" for the correct idle rpm.
I had to take the CAI back off since the stalling was a safety issue and my wife drives the car.

I thought about the supercharger pulley change kit to get more boost, but I was warned that this would decrease reliability/durability
due to higher temperatures and the engine running leaner.

I'm not sure if I can get a performance chip or not. If I get one, I would like to be able to swap it out easily with factory chip.

Looking for some advice and a reliable shop to possibly have some work done near the Milford area.

Thank you.

WAHHHHH? wtf

Seems like you're fairly new to the game. CAI, exhaust, pulley and a good dyno tune should do the trick.

This.......BUT if you are worried about reliability of the pulley, I had an 03 with only CAI, and a manifold back exhaust and the car really woke up to the tune of about a 12.4 quarter mile and about 114 mph with everything else stock, including the tires......BUT honestly if you are going to start modding, you will need to address the rear end.....I broke the shit out of mine at the drag strip.....The sell bushing kits the help correct this wheel hop..

With that said, With a mild pulley and tune it should be pretty reliable. That engine is built pretty well......Obviously LONG term it might prematurely wear out components....But if it is just a fun car, you should be fine.
