Hello.
I have a stock 2003 Cobra convertible.
I am looking for some advice regarding some modest upgrades to be able to make more tire smoke when I do a burnout.
In 1st gear the rev limiter at ~6,200 rpm is really annoying, but I realize it is necessary.
I am on a limited budget.
I installed a K&N cold air intake. It did not have the correct design for the MAF and I had to leave the MAF screen off the car.
The results were that the car would stall every now and then "hunting" for the correct idle rpm.
I had to take the CAI back off since the stalling was a safety issue and my wife drives the car.
I thought about the supercharger pulley change kit to get more boost, but I was warned that this would decrease reliability/durability
due to higher temperatures and the engine running leaner.
I'm not sure if I can get a performance chip or not. If I get one, I would like to be able to swap it out easily with factory chip.
Looking for some advice and a reliable shop to possibly have some work done near the Milford area.
Thank you.
