Z303 cam help

[B/G Falcon]

This is a first time using a Ford roller cam and I have a question. I am putting together a 302 and using a Z303 cam and I am using Edelbrock heads with adjustable valvetrain and was wondering what would be the spec for tightening the rockers down. Is it 1 turn after the after the push rod gets some drag or 3/4 of a turn or somthing else.

1/4 to 3/4 of a turn from 0 lash. Again this is just an average, if the plunger travels .075" I shoot for .030" preload. If you want to be dead on a dial indicator and patience will be your best friend. I usually shoot for 40% preload if that helps you any.
