Z06 adventures....

Holy shit!!!! I dread the day the clutch goes out on my Z06

Its really not bad... I got it to that point in about 2 hours... I think I could do it even faster now... you don't even have to crack open the brake lines....

OH almost forgot... yeah I put SEVERAL goodies in there... the Clutch is a Mcleod RST (this clutch is amazing... its like driving a honda with the feel ….smooth engagement and pedal feel. rebuilt the Torque Tube with Driveshaftshop.com poly couplers. since I was in there I also put in a sac city corvette Billet barbell for the oil passages and the revised rear main seal cover from GM performance..... poly engine and trans mounts currently the rear diff started making funky noises so that's out now... was trying to gen an Eaton Trac-aide... with no luck... so sitting on the bench is a motive gear rebuild kit with a new set of 3:73's that is waiting for the Wavetrac LSD to get here (no more bevel springs to break!!!)

everything else that has been done was strictly for fixing the C5 querks…. the yellow LS6 valve springs were replaced with some PAC's (they have had a few crack and drop valves) the rockers got trunnions too. MSD plug wires and some good plugs.... steam kit with evens coolant ...the anti theft pin for the steering column was removed....

really the only thing left is to replace the harmonic balancer with a ATI... (have a white out stripe painted on my balancer now... it hasn't moved yet) balancers on all C5's will fail...(its one of those "not If but When" deals...

Well was going to post some more but I think my photo limit has been reached... the site wont allow me to post anymore.

Nice, beautiful Vette, C5 Z06 has got to be a good bang for the buck these days. Always liked the electron blue and light pewter metallic, but cant go wrong with quicksilver.

Man I have to say I still love the body from the C5s from the other generations because it's so damn clean with the curves and overall look.
