WTF: Tach

Start car tach work's great with light on. Turn riding light's work's great. Turn head light's tach goes off and tach will not work. Turn head light's off tach reset's it self and work's great. WTF am I missing something ? Silver Auto Meter with shift light.

First let me say this you all know the story on this car and the problem's I have had. So I don't know how it's hooked up will pull up from Auto Meter and go from there.

Hi I got the green going to the digtal 6 box,black going to ground,white going to light switch, and the red going to fuse box. Still no workyyy it you turn the head light's on. Anyone can help me come over or I can bring to you. ????????if the shift light is bad with this couse the problem??????????

Use a test light check the power from red wire you have going to the fuse box with the headlights on.

make sure the ground is actually grounded and not on something plastic
