WTF is going on with my computer

Last night my wireless was fine today It won't work, well it kinda works. It says I'm connected and I can download info through Quicken so I'm connected, But IE won't work except Chase website????? MM, CF, Comcast, MSN sites none of it will come up.

WTF
 
spyware, IE corruption, Microsoft. Take your pick, but it's probably all 3 of the problems.
 
I blame the computer.
I swear you have the worst luck with that computer and everything related to it.
 
Did it apply IE7 over night?

What happens exactly when you try accessing MM? Does it time out? Is an error displayed?

You get a can not duisplay page error just like if you weren't connected tothe internet, the only page that works (that I found) is Chase
 
try doing a system restore. If it fixes it, then you know that sometime between the day you restore to and the today something happened to your computer that was downloaded.
 
Ken...try this. I had a similiar problem.

right click on "my computer" and click on properties. then click on device manager. open network adaptors and right click on your network card and click on properties then the advanced tab. look for "TCP Checksum" and make sure it's disabled. do the same for "IPv4 Checksum Offload". Click OK then try that.
My computer updated and turned those on. Might work. :dontknow:

I just reinstalled Window XP two days ago:dontknow:


I got home last night and it just worked again :dontknow:
