WTB Trailer/Tow Dolly

Morning all,

I rebuilt a little MINI Cooper to use for Autocross and Rallycross, and I'm looking for a small trailer or tow dolly for pulling it to events, I am looking to spend $800 or so on a trailer, less on a dolly.

I had a Kar Kaddy that worked ok, but sadly the way they do the tie down was shaped in such a way that the front bumper had to come off every time I took it anywhere :-/

Curb weight from factory is 2500lbs, interior is just about completely gutted, A/C gone, race seat, some light suspension bits. I figure a tandem axle alum snowmobile or atv trailer could handle it.

Let me know if anyone has anything, I've had no luck on CL.

14' landscape type trailer, dual-axles, electric brakes, with side ramp, that I use to haul quads and dirt-bikes. Lightly used...$1000. Firm.

Hmmm, I take it that it also has a rear gate? Any idea what the gate is rated for lbs wise? If not, do you know the brand? I could use that to research it I'm sure. Also, if you have any pics that would be a big help too :-)

I have a rough one that needs work but is solid and worth fixing up. $750 firm.

it needs wiring and one tire is flat also. But I was just going to spray it with that cheap bedliner stuff. Will also trade for something, up or down.

Now that you mention it, what's the condition of the tires? Lack of brakes gives me pause too, over 3k gross needs brakes on at least one axle yes? It would be just my luck to get pulled over and have that get checked.

IIRC, if you need electric brakes, MI requires it on all axles. It's a $200/axle add per axle. Figure $50 each for backing plates and $50 each for drums.
