Looking for a nice Open Car Trailer. My car is VERY low so something that can work with low cars is a huge plus for me. Let me know what you have, thanks!

USA Trailer Sales in Monroe has pretty good deals on new trailers. I just picked up a new dove tail open trailer with brakes, ramps, removable fenders, tongue jack, all wired ready to roll for 1,899. Hard to beat when people are asking 1,200-1,500 for their beat to shit trailers with no brakes and bad tires and wiring issues.

That's where I get my trailers.

FYI I have used that trailer for my 92 GT sits kind of low with the front air dam. I had to put the rear tires of my truck on 3 2x4's and put 1 2x4 in front of each ramp to get my car up it. My buddy had longer ramps that worked great but was not that safe as they did not stay in place well.

Let me know if you decide to get a trailer from USA trailer Sales in New Boston. My wifes family manages the place.

When talking about Johnny's car, Low is an understatement. You have to drive it up a series of 2x6's stepped up to 3-4 tall before you can even get a low pro jack under it lol

My Cobra is the same way. I have to drive up on two 2x10's before I can get my low profile jack under it and I know my Cobra is not even as low as a Vette. To get my car onto a lowered dovetail trailer (Featherlite) I had to make 16' long 2x10 ramps to decrease the approach angle of the aluminum ramps. My approach angle is only 7 degrees before I will scrape. I highly doubt he will find an off the shelf trailer that will fit his needs, he will very likely have to make helper ramps as I did. Good luck!!

That may be the case, C5 with coilover on all 4 = badass stance, But not trailer friendly. On a side note Johnny, My uncle build/modify's trailers and if you find one you like but need some changes made to it he could whip up whatever you need no problem.

I just went through this myself. $1500 for a used, somewhat crusty trailer + $300 min for 4 new tires ($60/tire + mounting/balancing), + $200 to upgrade to state required electric brakes on BOTH axles, + $60 for breakaway... Or drive away with a new 18' wood deck trailer for $2400 out the door with everything new, all the upgrades in the brakes, a new spare 15" tire and some d-rings.. oh and removable fenders.

Sales guy at the New Boston location was really down to earth, even told me to go to Tractor Supply for some accessories he just can't compete with on prices. Pretty cool in my book.

Hey, are you the Mustang driving Brother in Law that's been fixing the sales guys Lincoln? Just bought my trailer from there last Sat., he gave me the low down on his starter debacle.. :D

State requires brakes on both axles now ?
Brakes on both axlez and a breakaway box. Apparently it's been state law for a while now, but they are starting to check and ticket. A friend of mine got checked over the winter. He had both brakes but no breakaway. Got off with a warning.
