Joe Club Member Apr 22, 2008 #1 I'm looking to replace my K&N cone filter on the FIPK setup on my GMC with a new unit. Mine is pretty gunked up and bent. Is K&N the best replacement or is there a better product available now? I bought this in 2001 or so. The picture was taken about 100K miles ago.

b.lee Forum Member Apr 22, 2008 #2 I'd go with an Amsoil filter. The new nanofiber filters are dry and require no oiling. They are supposed to flow better and trap more dirt. I've had one on my cummins for a while now, Holding up great.

Anyone know if they are a direct swap for my FIPK type filter?

Joe Club Member May 5, 2008 #4 I spoke to a K&N vendor at the swap meet yesterday. Seens my replacement K&N filter (PN RF-1042) runs about $47.00. He recommended that foam sleeve for antoher $34.00 Options? Is that Amsoil filter a direct replacement for my K&N? Anyone use AEM filters? Last edited: May 6, 2008
