Late 80's 87-88-89.
Box, rag joint, fittings if possible.

Junk yard stuff is prefered. New is expensive, I'm cheap

Let me see what I have in the attic of the garage. I just sold a complete quick ratio setup from a firebird for $100 with lines, pump, box, everything but I think i may have one more box though.

iroc, grandnational, olds 442, zq8 s10 (easiest to find in junkyard)

easier option take stock box to harrys steering gear have them convert it to what ever ratiot you want

Let me know

Parts galore has a few antony.

Thanks, but I'm not in the mood to wrench at the yard.

Where's this Harry's at?

Steering is so damn loose, it's a common complaint for muscle/pony cars, the popular swap is to iroc box. Tightens it up. "Heavy steering"

Was hoping to swap it in a afternoon, but if Harry's can work some magic. That will save me from adapter fittings and rag joint issues

Last I checked they were closed.

Looking for a 12.7?
YA, wx, cp, ct,ws,or xh. Each has diff effort

Only way to truly make sure you get the right one is putting a degree wheel on it. All the remans use different components and are not put together with the right components most of the time. I had to go through 4-5 different boxes until I found a 12.7

I swapped an XH box on my g-body, but I also had to swap the pitman arm - so if you want to put a g-body box on yours, make sure to swap the arms.

Another good upgrade is a jeep steering shaft, it gets rid of the rag joints with a u-joint. Works on the g-body, not sure how well it works on the f-body.

You have anything up there?

Bumping back up. Never found the box I wanted, and now I'm reading I really need a monte ss box as it has the correct turning radius or some shit

Monte ss, olds 442 trans ams and irons with 16 inch wheels all use the same box

Last time I was at regal in Howell they had a zq8 s10. If it's there this weekend I'll get a price

Not according to Lee manufacturing.

Using a iroc on a first gen, the wheels won't turn as much, less turning radius.
