WTB: Good car for around $3k

My Dad is looking for a car to replace his current one, which is really having some bad mechanical issues. He is looking for something that has 4 doors, FWD, is in good shape mechanically and physically (obviously nothing perfect is going to be $3k, but he's not looking for another headache), has relatively low mileage (again, not expecting anything crazy, but not looking for 200k mile cars), and has a V6 (preferably).

I realize that's a lot to ask for for $3,000 but he asked me to keep an eye out. If you have something or know of something please let me know and I will pass it along!
