WTB - ford 8.8 rearend

got some bad news from the shop working on my rearend, seems previous owner didn't realize welding on axle tubes maybe shouldn't just be done in your garage randomly.

So i need at minimum a complete 8.8 centre and axle tubes, if you have something complete from a newer mustang thats disc to disc complete please let me know too. If it has gears in it 3.08 or 3.27 would be cool.

I have a 8.8 rear end housing out of a '91 GT if you can't find a complete one. Give me you email address and I'll get some pics out to you.
 
mactizen could you share what happened to you old housing. I have welded tubes in the past and never had a problem with straightness or any other type of failure.
 
rear end was shortened and other brackets welded on along with the shock mounts. This housing isn't in a Mustang any longer.Nothing was done in a jig and apparently it's not square.That's all I know as of yet, hoping to see the housing for measuring and also trying to come up with other options for him if needed.

The tubes aren't welded, only the ends were shortened and relocated. Welding the tubes is what was needed before all the heat was added to the housing.Not sure if they are twisted from launches or bent from heat(welding)
 
Ya thats pretty much the whole story i told him on the phone today.

The rearend was narrowed by the previous owner and had spring perches and shock brackets welded to it along with ladder bar brackets.
 
Thanks for the offers guys I have good option here in Canada and my backup is an offer from the site here. Something should workout.
