WTB Cheap Working Laptop

My friends are looking for a cheap laptop. Only requirement is that it has a wireless card. He might be losing his job, and the internet will go, so they are looking for a cheap laptop they can surf the web, check email and the likes at the local wifi hot spot.

Rich. I have an old Compaq Armada 7800. Not quick but gets the job done. I'll throw in the Linksys wireless card, will that work with hot spots?
Has Win2000 on it presently.

Looks like one just sold in garden city on ebay for $58.00 For him, how about $30.00 with the case, wireless card (linksys WPC11), power cord, CD & floppy drives

Yeah, Joe, that should work since it has the wireless card. I am pretty much working the whole weekend, but could probably meet up with you sometime later in the night if that works for you? Tomorrow is the night I get out earliest, I believe i'm out at 8:30. I could meet you at Great Lakes at like 9:15 pm?

They just had a baby a month ago and he heard from a reliable source that he will probably be losing his job at the end of the year, because there contract isn't going to get renewed. He just found out tonite he has a company wide conference call at 8:15 tomorrow morning and he's thinking that's what it's about. I told him hopefully its good news!!
