wtb 8.5 from G body or early 70s impala

Fuck that I can get a complete G body for that, with the way theses are stolen diffs should be easy to come across. Plus my diff guy wants to build a 12 bolt something about Jigs and tubes he was excited

If you're running this in a g-body the only rear end that will fit is one from a g-body - nothing else ever made will just bolt in.

Its for a S10, Im doing a 12 bolt people are crazy with the priceS they want for 8.5s, 750.00 FOR A REBUILDABLE CORE DIFF?

I'm in the same boat, I've been looking on and off for an 8.5 for my monte. The 8.5 came with 3.42s in the turbo regal and 3.73s in the 442/hurst olds. Seems to be ~500 for a non-posi and ~700 for a posi on most of the g-body boards. As for the s-10, it's leaf sprung while the g-body has coils on the rear, so I'm not sure if they'll swap. I know the carriers between the 7.5s will. Good luck on your search for one.

The leafs are long gone, dont hook worth a bean even with AWD so Im doing a a/g_body style 4 link in the rear with coil overs

why dont you find a sweet trailblazer ss 9.5?

Cause they are poop, :icon_mrgr and I dont like the 4 link arangement plus yards will want a $$$$ even thought its just a bravada diff

05 The bravada with "smarttrac " got it same reason bravadas have had 3:73 for ever it like posi traction in a playmouth hows it work? I dont know it just does

Do it cheap

If buying an 8.5 set up to bolt in is out of your price range than how about a Fox Mustang 8.8. I know the ears on top are a little off but you can fab something up. Just buy coil spring perches from a circle track supplier and your almost there. 8.8 parts are cheeeeapppp and plentiful and you shoudn't have to cut down the housing. The only exspensive part is buying axles with the Chevy pattern. I'm listing the 8.5 rearend I have at market value. If more where out there they would be much cheaper like the 8.8 Fords

8.8 wont work they dont offer the ratio I need, Its not out of my price range I can get a 12 bolt cheaper, plug you can find 8.5s in the car for 500.00 if you look
