WTB 2000 f350 multi function switch

a friend of mine lost his brake lights and turn signals in the rear the running lights still work but no brake lights. so im guessing its the multi function switch but i dont want to buy a new one from work and that not be it cuz they wont let me return it. so if someone has one laying around let me know please thanks .586-404-1490

Assuming he has checked the obvious(fuses, flasher relay) there are a few unique problems these trucks have. Most of the time, the hazard switch button gets gummed up and stuck in between "on" and "off". Use some contact cleaner spray, or even brake clean, and lightly apply down the side of the hazard button to clean the contacts inside the switch, and cycle the switch several times. Also, the wiring terminal locking tabs get brittle and break, allowing the wires to push out of the connector on the back of the multi-function switch(especially if the truck has tilt steering column). A new hardshell connector can be purchased, or just reinstall the loose wire and zip tie it securely.
