WTB:12 bolt rearend

P-Town's hired gun
Looking for a 12 bolt or 9" rearend for an 85' s10...leafspring truck, stock length...NOT LOOKING FOR A 10 BOLT!

I thought the late model blazers some of them had 8.6 inch 10 bolts they could be built fiarly stout and are easy to find but a touch bit wider then a 7.5. I will keep an eye out. whats the end to end length ?

Sean

mark your you can just get one any lenght and just have greg l. cut it down! last one i took to him was for the dakota when i narrowed it he only charged me 100.00! that was including welding the brkts for my ladder bar's also!

the rear axle flange to axle flange should be 54 1/2 inches, which is hard to find a rear axle that size, what about an 8.8 out of a stang or explorer? easy to find gears ect. and you won't break it! some rangers and explorer's had rear dics?

your right,
the zr2 used a 8.5...it would bolt into his application with out mods....but with either a 8.5, a 12 bolt, or a 9", any of the 3 would need aftermarket parts (assuming this is going in allthrottles10's s-10) .
your better off buying new parts and starting from scratch.

I should go with an 8.5? or are you saying i should buy all new parts and start from scratch?

you can do either, we do these swaps all the time at work. you can get any rear end you want and have it cut and welded to size to fit your truck and wheel/tire combo. i work at dts (drive train specialists) were at 11 (696 service drive) and groesbeck, i dont know how far that is from you, but you can come in there and talk to any salesman and they can help ya out with guiding you on what you wanna do or what will work best for your specific application, and get your pricing
