I have heard of this. But is it any different as if i were in my garage with propane heaters and if it caught fire?
Yes, it is a very big difference!
A heater or furnace will have safety valves
and shut offs. If there is a problem, you can’t
simply shut off your wood burner.
This is no small matter. As others have said,
Check with your insurance company / policy.
Some allow wood burners, some don’t.
AAA (my carrier) told me I can have one, but
they must be notified. I believe they would
want to check it & make sure it would be safe.
not worried about it. Im not getting a permit or anything, just want to do it safely
.....and you may find out you're no longer covered under your home insurance.
