I do a lot of datalogging in my car and to be honest, my fan never even comes on while driving, even when it is hot out, and I have a crappy OEM radiator. The only time it comes on is if I get into stopped traffic. Certainly your aftermarket radiator can dissipate even more heat than an OEM unit.

fan should never come on when driving, in fact, most OEM ECM controlled setups inhibit fan operation over 35 mph, a running fan at that speed actually hurts airflow
