so my windshield wiper arm will only move an inch on my drivers side. Im trying to remove the darn thing and it wont pop off. So with that being said....help!!!

what kinda car? sounds like the arm popped off the teeth and its only catching a little. could possible just push it back on and be good to go unless the teeth are stripped. to remove it your gonna want some kinda leverage, after any nuts are removed of course. i usually use a block of wood and a huge flat head screwdriver.

Car would help. Wiper transmissions always go bad this time of year. Sometimes it could be just the arm though. THe splines strip as said above.

yup bolt on ones come loose all the time and rip all the splines out of them fors tauras was allways good for that.

got it off with a flat head screw driver. Didnt have a block of wood available. Its a 2000 grand prix gt and was hell n a half since the hood has to be popped to get to it
Could have opened the hood and accessed them from below the hood line.
Most auto parts stores sell the tool, heck most times you can use a battery terminal puller.

thats how i got to it. I opened the hood. I didnt have 125 dollars to drop on the removal tool though.
