Will it fit

The Pinto has a Mustang II IFS (If I remember correctly) That is the suspension swap that anyone would use in a vintage car to gain the most clearance. You will most likely have to clearance the fender aprons for the heads/cam covers/exhaust.
 
I've seen many a Mustang II with a 4.6L, although I'm not sure if any sheet metal work was done to fit it.
Isn't the engine bay of the Pinto the same as the Rustang II?
