It's a 2011 Dodge Ram Big Horn... 4x4, 5.7 Hemi, 20" chrome wheels, quad cab, etc, etc... it's not LOADED, but it's pretty decently equipped. I haven't had a chance to really get on it, but it sure feels quick for a big truck!

you guys'll love that truck trust me! it doesn't get to bad of mileage if you stay out of it either. plus the ride quality is amazing IMO. it moves out decent for being 2.5+tons!

Love my 06 but the new ones are AWESOME! I can touch 20mpg if I stay out of the pedal, got a tad over going up north once with 2 kids and a loaded covered bed. Would love to switch up to a 2011

Yes, we are a gas buying family! Although I don't drive the SRT8 all that much. My DD is the '99 Jeep that gets a much better 15mpg!

I was hitting just about 18.5. I expect once we get the tonneau cover on, we may see an extra mpg or 2

But yeah, it seems like it moves out and the ride is great.

Driving this thing makes me wonder how jdstu's (sp? the Brown Dog Welding guy) 2WD shortbox Ram must move out.... I bet that truck is a blast

Next time you're in the area with it, let me know. I'd be interested on how it stacks up against the new 5.0 in real world test ;)

You aren't going to see very much at all with the tonneau cover. The way the cabs are designed these days the tonneau doesn't do much. BTW if you get a tonneau I highly suggest the Xstang Trifecta. Either the soft or hard. I have the soft and it's the BEST tonneau cover I've ever had. Very easy to use/remove. Same with the hard version.

BTW Xstang is a Michigan company.

I was looking at a Black 2011 Crew Cab Ram Big Horn last Friday. $40k truck and they had me at $1300 down and $350 a month 39 month lease which seemed pretty good but I passed......worried about economy and gas prices

Saw no gains with cover on mine, just hides the stuff in the bed from prying eyes (Does NOT stop them from stealing out of it GRRRRRR) Saw a little bit of a gain with k&n

Get yourself an Xstang tri-fold hard cover. Well worth the money. Easy to take on and off.

The Extang Trifecta's are AWESOME. I especially like the soft version, they look soooooo slick.

NOT my truck:

I love the new Rams too. thats one mean lookin truck compared to the Ford and Chevy that look like a big square crackerbox! I would hate to buy your gas> I have the 5.9 in my Durango and its a gashog too but I love the 4X4 you just cant beat it. I feel safer in it than I do a car down riding on the street. One of those Pontiac G3's pulled out in front of me this afternoon and Im like "Seriously? you think Im going to stop?" I could have drove right over the top of that thing! lol

Nice truck Mike! And thanks for keeping me working! As stated the tonneau covers don't help the MPG :(
