Her lease is up in December on her Saab. We almost replaced it with another Saab, a 9-3 Sport Combi wagon. The lease deals were no where near as good this time around, though, so she decided to go a different route.

She ordered a 2007 Saturn Aura XR in midnight blue with black leather. We both liked the morrocco brown leather but you could only get the fake wood trim with it. :( Anyway, it has the 252 hp 3.6L V6 and 6 speed auto. It moves out pretty good and is a nice driving car. Overall, GM did a much better job on the interior than they usually do but it was still disappointing to see how cheap looking and flimsy feeling the door panel inserts/armrests were. I don't understand how GM can use good materials everywhere else but then cheap out on this one high touch item. Overall it seems like a really nice car, though! We should have it in 6-8 weeks.

My cousin just got one and they look pretty damn nice for a Saturn was pretty impressed with it from the outside!

The Aura looks like a nice car. Reading all the previews, it sounds like GM could have a hit on their hands. I hope they don't fuck it up.

Yeah the interiors on those look 100x better than the Malibu's (also on that same platform). The Aura's suspension has been tweaked for better handling. They are a nice car and ride really nice too. I hope you enjoy guys it!

You know, a week or so back my wife and I were watching TV and a Saturn commercial came on and I said to her, "that company is actually starting to make cars normal people might like owning."

I hope you enjoy the new ride.

Yeah, it's built on a stretched version of the epsilon platform. It's the same platform as the Saab 9-3, Malibu, G6, etc.

It worries me a little that it's the introductory year of the model not to mention the first application of the FWD 6 speed automatic but it's warrantied so?

well, ford has had the trans for a year, gm waited and did some more R&D on it to perfect it, i wouldnt worry too much
