the guage is simple, and would allow you to customise it to fit the ride best and you might be able to knock the price down, but then again you could find the entire unit for $150 (I think). Are you gonna perminatly mount it? or just tune with it?
I found an old LM-1 on CL 2 years ago...I had to make a harness to tell it to work with my serial output and mess with the set-up but it was not too hard. GL

Are you telling me the LM-1 is finicky? Serial output on your laptop or are you talking about serial data bus from the car? I keep forgetting I need to get a USB-serial adapter.. need one for my TCM as well.
I dont know what I am saying
I had to make a serial cable to edit the logworks software on the LM-1 and set it up like HPtuners wanted. I made the cable rather than mess with a USB-Serial converter, and my old tuning laptop has a serial port. I like the LM-1, it seems like old school b/c of the box and how stream line the LC-1 packaging is... but I was able to just have the LM-1 running and can watch the fuel w/o my laptop and also use the 0-5v output into the computer when I need to.
That's a nice setup. I bought a used LM1, I'll see how that goes. I'll eventually start shopping for an HP tuner setup too, and datalog with that. The car is going back together with the carb, I just want to make sure I get the carb dialed in for now.
