Wi-Fi Thermostat

My wife put a nest in our home... I suppose it works ok... hard to tell if it will lower our bill but I suspect it will.... pairs with your phone, when you get home ac comes on and drops to a temp of your setting.... also comes on when you wake (sees movement) some other features is with another temp sender it will run the blower on the furnace to try to equal out the temps... we have a room that is always a different temp then the rest of the house.... Got a email last week...dte has them for 25 bucks right now

We have had a next for a couple years and like it. It's nice being able to turn the ac on when your in the bathroom.

I have a Sensi and I like it. I wanted something that I could control remotely and schedule. This fit the bill. I really didn't want the learning feature of the NEST, I just wanted it to do what I told it to do and monitor/control it remotely.

Nest is the best, if you have a problems with heating and cooling other rooms you need https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_temperature_sensor?hl=en-US

Yea... thats the one we got and stuck in another room... it works

You can control Nest with your phone.... learning features are nice.. especially f you keep a schedule every day... house cools down before you get home.... turns on the furnace before you wake... changes the temp to save energy if your not home.

We don't really change the temp, unless we're on vacation or something, which is when the wifi control comes in handy. Wife is home most of the day, and we have a geothermal system. The installer advised that they are great at maintaining temp, but not changing temp, so try to not adjust it a ton up or down.

We have a Sensi Wifi that is not a "learning" thermostat and since our schedule is so consistent, I have it programmed to adjust before I get home/ wake up etc. Never really though the learning feature was necessary if your schedule is consistent.

Got the ecobee a few years back because it had the remote sensors (nest didn’t at the time) our bedroom is hottest in the house, and wanted the temps to drop to that sensor at bed time. Works awesome. Would buy again, newest version has Alexa built in for some reason, so if you already have that makes it easy to implement and control I guess.

Not sure what the future holds for Nest SW since google owns them now. So far not impressed with how my other nest products SW has changed.

I’ve got the ecobee 3 with the remote room sensors. Not sure if nest has this feature. Have had it for 4 years now. Being able to control it via app is great. Easy install if you’re not mechanically inclined.

I have a Nest 3.4. Have had it since they came out because it works well with antique boiler systems.

Software update a couple years ago that made "away" kind of janky pissed me off.

I have a Sensi because I don't need learning and it was the cheapest at the time. I love it because I travel semi-often and it's nice to it down while I'm gone, then a couple hours before I get home turn it up and have it comfy when I arrive. The app has some quirks but overall it's worked well for ~5 years now for what I need.

I have this in carbon Black https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MYE7VDD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this in the exact match Carbon Black: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VDNW95/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

$180. In excellent condition with the original box and everything that came with it. Purchased April 2018. Wife was annoyed by it. She just wants to set it and leave it. I went back to a traditional non programmable thermostat. Happy wife, happy life.
