why is the base/clear paint so cheap...is it any good?

Not an expert, however, I have never heard of that brand....quality materials are definetly expensive!!

Never heard of it but be careful read all the instructions mix correct and prep the shit out of the engine bay. If that turns out ok u might want to do the rest. One other thing after u spray it try wet sanding a spot and see how it rubs. That will be key for the rest of the car, it will let u know what u hafto look forward to.

For the price go to Sherwin Williams and pick up there economy line. Will be just a little more expensive but the quality will be there. Wouldn't trust that site to much w/o knowing someone who has used it with success.

it seems like its too good to be true. I was wondering if this stuff...much cheaper than everything else would yield a good product. I am painting the whole engine bay, and then possibly next winter I will paint the rest of the car

The most expensive additive in base coat & clear coat is UVA, the most important part of base coat & clear coat is UVA. If the can of paint is cheap you can guarantee it has little to no UV absorber which means the paint will become brittle, fade, and eventually flake, and it won't take long sometimes in 90days of sunlight . Anyone can make a cheap can of paint but you won't see a well known name on one, if the paint is going on something of worth I personally wouldn't go cheap.

PPG-Dupont-Glasurit-Diamont-Spies Hecker would be my only choices.
