Taking the truck to Motorcity Auto Auction on 13 and Groesbeck would fuck me royally. I am going to detail the truck and head over to the dealer who has the Marauder I want and see what I can do on a trade, some time this week.

Dammit, i thought you needed a pin number. I just generated one for a dealer at Krueger Mercury. Easiest two hundred i ever made.

You might not care, but if I were you I'd edit that post. Some Ford folks do look at this site.

Al - you might want to see what Jim Douglas Auto Sales will give you. They gave my bro $1,000 more than the dealer offered. At a minimum they'll level with you and tell you what it's worth.

I'm not famliar with the used Ford market, but based on what a buddy of mine was offered for his 04 EB Explorer I think you have an up hill battle trying to get $20,000.

Part of the problem is whoever buys it (provided they finance it) are looking at a $400 / month payment for five years and for that kind of money they could buy new (as Ford offers 2.9% financing opposed to 6+% for a used vehicle).

Good luck

If someone get's a $400.00 payment on a $20,000 loan, they need to:

1.) Fix their shitty credit
2.) Find a credit union that will give them a better rate

Worst case $20,000 for 5 years should run you mid $300.00...and you own the vehicle. Most LEASE payments are more than that...and you're only borrowing the car if you lease it.

Yea, you own something that isn't worth shit. An 8-9 year old can isn't worth didly.

The current rate (from my credit union) for a used vehicle between three and four years old is 5.5%. A $21,200 loan ($20K + tax) at 5.5% for 60 months is $404.94.

Financing the taxes, too?

Hey, at least you own it vs giving it back to the dealer and dropping another K or two out of pocket to borrow another car.
