Who is running ATT DSL with Windows 7?

Can you get a screenshot of when the computer gives you the error message?

Are we beating a dead horse since you said he's switching to Brighthouse? Does he want someone to come take a look at it?



Yeah that's what I'm trying to wrap my head around in all of this, why is Windows even getting the chance to report a PPPoE error. Something must be very messed up in the settings in either the router or the PC.

No he canceled att last night and has scheduled brighthouse to come out.

When I left yesterday, going into the router, everything showed "connected" and all systems were up.

What is confusing to me is that windows xp worked fine and connected no problem, and that was wirelessly and hardwired, but once we plugged it into the 7 computers, it did not work. Just the little yellow ! in the bottom right over the internet connection.

My uncle said it shouldn't have anything to do with the OS, and I agree, but then again he has never dealt with a setup like this. Not to say he couldn't have fixed it if he came by, but I do k now he has never hooked up this particular dsl to a windows 7 machine. He has one setup for one of his client's office, but they are running windows xp as well.

Windows 7 is on my laptop and setup just fine
