If this is a post to see who uses the fastest computer I think I might win.

18 dual quad core cpu grid - that's 144 processors, that's a summation of 345.6 Ghz of processor powah.

At home I just have a quad core 2.4, dual 8600's 4gb, 3.2TB of storage.

I just got a Toshiba satellite today to carry with me so I can do a heat loss/gain for people when I size up the home. Sony in the office and I forgot what is at home.

I can start blabbing about the computers we have at work too :icon_mrgr

No sense in bragging about what work has - I can't disclose anything about the data centres I support, but lets just say they are huge and support customers all over the world.

I use a MacBook Pro (4gb RAM / 200gb 7200 disk) for all my personal stuff.

If mac has solid state hard drives for a reasonable price in the future I might get a mac and dual boot windows on it. I'd say I would triple boot with Ubuntu also but I don't know if anything more than dual boot is possible.

I have an XP VM instance on my Mac, just in case I have to run some Windows centric junk in a pinch, but other than that it's OSX all the way.

OSX is essentially a pretty GUI (Leopard) on top of a UNIX (BSD) core .. You can still get to a command prompt (bash, etc) and putz around..

I always had a general distaste for Mac people until I actually bought a Mac .. there is really no turning back. It's much easier and more enjoyable to use.

Built mine maybe 4 years ago now? Still runs all the latest games on the highest settings (minus Crysis).

3.4Ghz Single Core
X1800XT (overclocked)
2GB DDR667
75G Raptor Drive (Probably Have to Upgrade this soon)
300GB 7200RPM Drive (used to store files, vids, music, pics, etc...)
Asus P5ND2-SLI Board (used to be an A-Bit but went bad after 3 years, so I just found a board that works with my setup that was decent)
OCZ Power Supply
19" Widescreen Monitor
5.1 Surround Sound Speakers
