Where to buy a Michigan 1971 plate

Just picked up a 71 chevelle and would like an older 71 plate. Any tips would be great on how it all works for registration etc thanks

You need both plates. At least you used to back when I registered my Coronet to 1970 plates. Other than that it wasn't a big deal.

I've got spare 71 plates if you're interested, I'm pretty sure I have a pair downstairs. I'd trade for other plates or sell.

Edit: I checked and I do have a few single 71s but all my pairs have a 72 sticker on one of them.

I dont think you need both plates. My 57 is registered that way and only uses the rear plate. I'm going to be registering a few others next year, so we'll see.

you are supposed to have both so they know somebody else doesnt have the plate

I think you only need one plate. But I have a pair of Michigan plates for the Studebaker. I'm old school...LOL!
