Where can I find the best deal on a VERY LARGE piece of fabric???

You don't need to rip down the whole drywall down you idiot... Unless it's been water damaged...
Actually, idiot, I do. There are parts of the wall that have the drywall ripped off of the 2x4, and parts that aren't ripped off. If I were to lay the new drywall the way that wall sits right now, the drywall would be all crooked and cracked in areas where it was screwed in to a surface that's not level with the area where the last screws were put in...idiot.

Anything else, Mr. Jack Of All Trades and supreme know-it-all?

You obviously never repaired drywall before... You don't need to rip out it all out just to replace some holes you jackass... Get off your lazy fucking ass and do that shit the right way instead of being ghetto and trying to cover it up with some bullshit cloth...

So what...run something along the length of the 2x4's that is as thick as drywall and screw into that? The holes are not just in empty spaces between the 2x4. There is drywall missing from some 2x4's. And aside form repairing small holes, or hanging new drywall, I haven't "repaired" jobs this size.

You can repair drywall without having to replace it ;)

This is coming from a guy who did drywall work in a house that was built in the late 1800s early 1900s this summer....

Post pics of the wall and I can help you with the repairs... It doesn't matter if the edge is destroy or not... It still can be repaired very easily and a lot cheaper then buying another sheet and ripping it all down and rehanging it with tape, mud, and screws.

First sign of a user... Rage... :icon_bigg

What he's saying, Al, is to cut out the bad drywall, but make it so where you make the cut lines up with the middle of the 2x4. That way you have room to butt the new piece of drywall up to the old and screw it on the ends and countersink the holes a bit.

Lets not forget, he IS Italian... Have you guys not seen the tower of Pisa? Built by italians and leans like a motherfucker.....

That and you can also repair the holes without even cutting the holes out... Clean the holes up and you put a peice of wood behind the hole and screw it in... Then repair it according... AKA Fill in the holes... Then sand it down... Boom... Good as new...

Using the word "gear" when refering to steroids should be an automatic :banstick:
