Where are some good public fishing sites in metro detroit.

I don't have a boat. Just want to go out and throw some worms around. Anyone have any good spots they are willing to let someone know about? Thanks guys and happy Memorial Day weekend....:thumbsup:
 
Come on guys, I'd really like to go today and would rather go somewhere that someone knows of rather than winging it and trying to find a spot. Please help me out.
 
Whattya looking to catch? Catfish in Monroe. 75 south to Newport exit turn left, do not go in the direction of the gas station Burger King. Take the road till it dead ends right into the park where you can fish.
 
Thanks guys, we hit up metro beach this afternoon. We just went off the piers at the end of the park and had some fun. We caught 3 nice sized smallmouths, a couple of sunfish. Well let me rephrase that, my girlfriend caught those and all I caught were the friggin gobys. I didn't know what they were but a guy that was fishing there said to throw them in the rocks for the birds that they were an invasive species. So I caught 6 or 7 of them and kept throwing them up on the rocks for the birds to snack on. Thanks for the ideas.....
