Exactly what happend. I don't have a ton of riding experience but I actually went off the front of the quad I was riding when this happened to me. I accelerated to the jump (little jump too) and then let out of the throttle and promptly nose dived as soon as I got in the air. It sucked, I learned and life goes on.
