hey guys im thinkin about buying this 92 ford supercoupe the guy says that when you put it in hear the idle drops off but it dosent stall out what could that be?

Very possible it has a vacuum leak from one of the numerous sealing points on that superbird motor. check for any obvious vacuum leaks like an unplugged line. If all is well then start looking deeper, with a vacuum leak there should also be lean codes that have set. Depending on the year of the superchicken, you may be able to access the pcm datastream and monitor Short term fuel trims and o2 functions with the use of a quality scan tool. This makes it much easier to find a manifold vacuum leak. Hope this helps

umm, i thought every car dropped its idle when you put it in gear, it was because of the extra load of the trans/converter. if its dropping so low that it wants to die, id check the IAC and clean it out
