when is it time for a BLOW PROOF BELLHOUSING?

i have one on my 300hp t5 car now. always seamed like over kill though. I am likely adding power and a diff trans so what is the rule of thumb on this????? probably go 11"s and never have a slick on it......thx

After hearing of the carnage it can cause, I would say it's never too soon for one. Just put one in my 97 Trans-Am. Yes it was $4xx dollars I could have spent elsewhere, but I like my feet more than I like that money.

?? With slicks? I know MMM wanted me to have a driveshaft loop with slicks, T5 car.
