Is there a such thing as a "wheel wax" I've got black powder coated rims on my Trans Am and fucking hate cleaning around the "rivets" Is their a product out there I can coat the rims in a few times a year so I just have to spray them down?

These are the same rims and they are a P.I.T.A. to clean!

Belle Tire has some stuff that keeps dirt, etc from sticking to the wheels. I can't remember what its called but I got some back when Brian worked there and i bought some wheels for my work truck. The stuff works really good.

A degreaser should dissolve all of that and you can just spray it out.
I would probably use some degreaser and then a wash mitt (the fuzzier the better) or soft wheel brush that will get into those little spots.

And it will not spot clearcoat? Do you mean engine degreaser?

If so, I might try that on someone elses wheels first.

Simple Green will work or and Automotive general purpose degreaser in a spray bottle I've never had problems with. Just check the label and read it over and make sure its safe for wheels. Most of them are. If your not sure, don't risk it though.

I would NOT use an engine degreasing foam spray. I imagine it is a lot more concentrated and more harsh than some other automotive degreasers that are out there.

Maybe try regular car wax...???

I used Zaino on my old wheels when I first got it. Brake dust came off so easily. It was a PITA before that. I have not had a chance to put some on the new wheels yet but plan to do so. I too have rivets to keep clean.

I know im a lil late, but If you really ant them to stay clean, Try a product called Zoop Seal.

You scrub and polish your rims rust the way you want them, apply this stuff, never have to do anythig more than rinse them off ever again..

I've heard it works real well, but its kinda pricy..

(kits right around $100 i think)

and zoop seal will yellow over time so if you have nice rims it's best just to take care of them.

that's why rivets are not good on cars you drive. a normal non carnuba based wax will keep things a little easier for you but there is no magic way, just helper items.
