What would you expect to pay for a 05 sliverado 4x4 with...

It was a freinds work truck, he bought it from his employer for 3k, it looks very good like crazy good for how many miles it has....
It has the smaller v8 and has been mantained very well or so im told.....(I believe the guy)
I was thinking if my car is gone, I was gonna make him an offer.....
I'm sure he wants more than 3 but i dunno what would be fair or if i should just stay away....
 
I looked and im getting about 7....
I think I could get it for 5... so thats the ? Should I?
I want a truck, and i know the miles are high as heck, but it drives and rides very solid still...
 
i had a 1996 z-71 with 236.000 miles and ran and drove mint ...miles dont scare me....

i have a 1997 z-71 now with 150.000 miles i just bought it for $3200.00 it books at $5100.00 these trucks hold some value
 
i looked at a 2000 standard cab short box 4x4 with 280.000 miles the guy wanted $4000....i offered him $3400.00 he said no
 
Hmm, well I'm gonna throw some money at it if my car totals out.....
Hopefully my friend has a heart and takes mercy on me...:lol:
 
If you snag it for 5k it would be a solid buy. Those trucks hold value with high miles. My moms friend just bought a 07 Avalanche 4x4 from auction in Texas for $1,500. Yes...fifteen hundred dollars. I offered him 10k and I'm waiting to hear back from him but I'm pretty sure he knows what is worth. :lol: If he sells it to me its yours for the low price of $20,000.
