What would you do?

you gotta work sooner or later so it might as well be sooner so you can learn. you will earn far more than the $150 per month you will lose anyways. you can still help your dad too
 
Well it sounds like you need to do whats best for yourself. I understand you care about and want to help your Dad, but he is not being reasonable. If he tells you that you're lazy but on the other hand wont let you get a job then there is problems. Sit down and talk to him and say hey dad, im not getting any younger and I need to get my life on track and still want to help but you are making it difficult. If he is in his right mind he will understand and let you work. .02
