What to get, what to get, oh what to get?!

Ok, so the story goes, I have been saving up for a camaro. The thing is, I really don't know what kind to get! Z28, SS, or just a regular camaro. My goal is to make it a sleeper so I can beat some of the tuners out on Woodward during the time of the cruise. If anyone can help me with this debate, that would be great!

Get a formula ls1 v8, they look just like a v6 firebird. Get a ls6 intake, descent trans an convector, and a 70mm+ turbo and full exhaust and head work if you want to get into that, and spank a lot of tuners while only rinnning 6-8 psi. And not really affecting your gas. Or you could just spray it! Lol

that sounds like someone here car already...

He has a lot of free time on his hands....

If only you guys really knew lol. I wake up every morning to text with links to at least 2 craigslist ad's for things that "You should buy this" like I'm fucking loaded lol. This mornings was a 20' car hauler and a $45k twin turbo duramax lol

Correction, He sent me the link to a 2006 yfz450 and the duramax, another friend sent me a link to the car hauler.

My buddy had had one and it was a blast on 10 psi an a cam, 1/8 mile burnouts on street tires! Lol

this is the car hes talking about. it belonged to my cousin.

he had a 60mm on stock engine with ls6 intake on 4.5 psi when this video was taken.

haha that is bar none the best video of that car, but that was the sans turbo days.

"iiiii dunno imm drunk"

Well like I said, my goal is to show those tuners what REAL hp is all about. Whatever I get, i'm going to try and make it a 10sec car for Woodward lol! I do like that first idea with the Ls1 with the Ls6 intake lmfao! :naughty1:

LSX + Boost = Sleeper horsepower

My Camaro is TT and unless you knew what to look for you would NEVER know. I am SERIOUSLY debating putting the stock airbox back on to hide the intercooler neck. That is the only giveaway. Stock engine except for pushrods, valvesprings & fuel system. 7psi and I put down 524rwhp. Yes, that is to the tire so closer to 600HP at the engine. I have shocked my share of subaru's out there. They all think I am stock until they hear the turbo's spool and that smile on their face turns into a huge OH $&#T! Car has a normal rumble and my mileage stayed pretty good as well. As long as you stay out of boost the mileage is good. I have 4yrs and over 30k on the set-up now. Just run premium fuel, get in and go. :D It's not a cheap endeavor to go forced induction. So do your homework and budget for it and stick to your plans. It is easy to get sidetracked and go over budget. Good luck! I saw a bunch of F-bods for sale over on mifbody.com.

The power levels will break things so if you find a car with an already upgraded rearend, you will be a few steps towards keeping it reliable. Like I said, do your homework.

What he said. Tony's car is the perfect street cruiser. I wish I had his drivetrain in my street car.
