I believe you use dogs (coon hounds) to tree racoons, then you shoot the coons...That looks like 2 dogs treeing a racoon...

Some people like deer hunting, others like racoon and squirrel hunting

This guy gets it :)

That is how you hunt raccoon, and walker is a breed of hound dog. They look like long legged beagles.

I know you hunt coons with dogs, just thought there was supposed to be something funny about the picture. Guess there was nothing to "get" after all, just a coon hunting enthusiast advertising on the back of his truck. Or maybe a dog salesman ???

Gary and Daveg enlightened me. I had no clue of this type of hunting or dog breed

When I was at Invisible Fence, I had to train a few Blueticks...only breed that I witnessed bite his owner during the training.

Yes you hunt coons with hounds, Walkers are one of the most wanted breed for coon hunting, I have a good friend that makes good money, hunting, selling coons with hounds, Turn the hounds lose and wait for them to locate, strike and tree, follow the dogs bark to the dog, shine the tree , find coon, shoot coon, I have been out with him on a number of hunts, Its a blast, He is getting $15- $20 per coon, back in the day he got $35-45 per coon depending on size and how good the pelt was, His best night was 27 coon, IMO even at $15 per thats good money, How many hobbies out there can you make money at on any giving night ?

And I will add he is disabled from birth, He has no use of his left arm and only 40-50% use of his left leg
